Roaming previously used REASON_RSSI (5), which APs decode as Load
Balancing. Send Low RSSI (16) from RoamingApp and the example
without changing the public btm_query_reason enum.
The RX task's drain loop called emac_esp_dma_get_remain_frames()
after every received frame, an O(backlog) walk of the descriptor
ring with a cache invalidate per descriptor. Under sustained load
the scan cost grows with the backlog, so the deeper the backlog
gets, the more time goes into scanning instead of draining, until
the task can no longer keep up and the DMA drops frames
continuously (measured ~3000 missed frames/s at 16k pkt/s
bidirectional on ESP32-P4 with 20 descriptors).
The loop only needs to know whether at least one more complete
frame is waiting, which emac_esp_dma_alloc_recv_buf() already
answers by checking a single descriptor, so exit the loop on that
instead. The full remain-frames count is kept only under
CONFIG_ETH_SOFT_FLOW_CONTROL, which genuinely needs it for the
pause-frame watermarks.

Initialize and deinitialize BLE Log from the Bluedroid host lifecycle when the local
controller is disabled. Guard controller mbuf handling with BLE_LOG_LL_ENABLED so host-
only builds do not depend on controller headers.
Update NimBLE to b6e2f93db269ad2bba8715953cb56f93bae4fc2f to provide the corresponding
host-only initialization. Combine the host initialization fix and the final NimBLE
revision into one prerequisite commit.
Cancel in-flight SDP searches before freeing discovery databases in BTA AV
and HID Host. Otherwise a late SDP response can be parsed into a freed
buffer after esp_a2d_*_deinit / HID host disable, the same class of
corruption as JV/SPP deinit.

bta_jv_disable() reset the control block and let BTA_JvFree() release
p_sdp_db/p_sdp_raw_data while an SDP service search could still be in
progress. Late SDP responses were then parsed into the freed discovery
database and corrupted the heap, so the crash surfaced much later in an
unrelated malloc(), inside TLSF remove_free_block().
Cancel the search first. SDP_CancelServiceSearch() moves the connection
control block to SDP_DISC_WAIT_CANCEL, and sdp_disc_server_rsp() matches
none of its PDU cases in that state, so a late response is rejected
instead of being written into the database.
Reachable from both esp_spp_deinit() and esp_bt_l2cap_deinit(), e.g. when
an application deinitializes SPP before ESP_SPP_DISCOVERY_COMP_EVT
arrives.
- Remove the EXAMPLE_LCD_IMAGE_SOURCE Kconfig option (embedded binary vs
file system) and always load images from LittleFS.
- Convert the PNG images into LZ4-compressed LVGL binary images (.bin)
at
build time using LVGLImage.py, and flash them to a LittleFS partition.
- Upgrade lvgl to 9.6.0 and add the espressif/lz4 component; link the
external LZ4 library into lvgl.
- Split the example: main.c focuses on the esp_lcd i80 API, while the
LVGL
porting (lvgl_port.c) and the UI (lvgl_demo_ui.c) live in separate
files.
- Rework the demo animation to use the LVGL animation engine (lv_anim)
with
easing paths instead of a manual software timer for smoother
rendering.
- Remove the embedded C image arrays (esp_logo.c, esp_text.c) and the
obsolete sdkconfig.ci.image_in_{bin,fs} variants.
