Move the following modules from the hal component into a new dedicated
esp_hal_debug_assist component, following the esp_hal_timg pattern:
- assist_debug (hal + target-specific LL headers)
- debug_probe (types + target-specific LL headers)
- riscv_trace (hal + types + source + target-specific LL headers)
- trace_ll (esp32/esp32s2/esp32s3 target-specific LL headers)
Update the following components to depend on esp_hal_debug_assist:
esp_system, riscv, bootloader_support, esp_hw_support, esp_riscv_trace
Remove riscv_trace_hal.c from the hal component.
g1_components builds a minimal COMPONENTS list. When every component's
Kconfig is processed, components/vfs/Kconfig sets VFS_SUPPORT_IO=y by
default, and the conditional requires in esp_stdio and esp_libc pull
vfs, esp_driver_uart, and their transitive deps into the closure.
Add an sdkconfig.defaults that forces the symbol off so the dependency
graph stays restricted to the components actually under test.
expected_dep_violations only listed the edges visible when
idf_component_optional_requires was a no-op for the dependency graph.
Under build system v2's DEFERRED mode the call propagates the resolved
dependency back into PRIV_REQUIRES, and the graph also captures
esp_common -> {efuse, bootloader_support, app_update} and esp_system ->
esp_app_format.
Add those entries so the script does not flag them when IDF_BUILD_V2
is set.
This commit reorganizes SPI flash header files to better reflect their
visibility and intended usage:
1. Rename `esp_flash_port/` to `esp_flash_chips/`:
- Better reflects that these headers are for chip driver implementations
- All chip driver headers moved to `esp_flash_chips/` directory
- Added README.md explaining semi-public nature of these headers
2. Move internal headers to `esp_private/`:
- `esp_flash_internal.h` -> `esp_private/esp_flash_internal.h`
- `memspi_host_driver.h` -> `esp_private/memspi_host_driver.h`
3. Move chip driver related headers to `esp_flash_chips/`:
- `esp_private/esp_flash_types.h` -> `esp_flash_chips/esp_flash_types.h`
- `spi_flash/spi_flash_defs.h` -> `esp_flash_chips/spi_flash_defs.h`
- `spi_flash_override.h` -> `esp_flash_chips/spi_flash_override.h`
- All `spi_flash_chip_*.h` headers moved to `esp_flash_chips/`
4. Code improvements:
- Remove unused includes (e.g., `spi_flash_override.h` from `cache_utils.c`)
- Use public API `esp_flash_get_size()` instead of direct member access
- Add `esp_flash_is_quad_mode` to linker.lf for IRAM placement
5. Documentation updates:
- Add README.md in `esp_flash_chips/` explaining semi-public headers
- Update programming guide with warnings about internal headers
- Update both English and Chinese documentation
6. Update all references across the codebase:
- Update includes in `spi_flash` component
- Update `bootloader_support`, `app_update`, `esp_tee`, `espcoredump`
- Update example projects
Breaking changes:
- Headers moved to new locations require include path updates
- `custom_flash_driver` example temporarily disabled until external
components are updated
esp_stdio contains everything the old esp_vfs_console contained (the vfs stdio glue layer)
as well as other functionality related to stdio (previously referred to as console)
The commit 51f3c02115 ("Add quotes around node ID in dependency
graph") introduced proper quoting for node IDs in the generated dot
file. Since the dot format does not allow dashes in node names without
quoting, and dashes are used in component names, the component names in
the generated dot file are now correctly quoted. Adjust the
g1_components test to accommodate this change by stripping the quotes.

Common spi functionality for sharing the SPI bus between modules is moved from esp_driver_spi to
a more fitting location in esp_hw_support (shared HW resource control).
This also allows us to decouple the spi_flash driver from esp_driver_spi, removing
esp_driver_spi and esp_ringbuf from G1 builds.
esp-system and esp-hw-support, and the rest of the g1 components, now only depend on
esp_driver_spi and esp_driver_gpio. Removing the rest of the driver components from g1 builds.
