bcc_self=0 means that the user disabled it or it's a chatmail setup with the only device and w/o
backups. If a backup is made someday, old messages not marked as IMAP-seen aren't a problem and new
ones are marked as IMAP-seen.
For bots, particularly multi-device ones (which are a rare case), probably no sane logic can be
built on the "seen" message status. Moreover, if the user has additionally a bot that reads incoming
messages, it doesn't mean that the user doesn't want to read them too.
Messages are iterated over in fetch_new_msg_batch()
and largest_uid_fetched variable is updated there
assuming that messages come in the order of increasing UID.
If UIDs are not increasing, it is possible
that largest_uid_fetched will be updated
even though smaller UID is not fetched yet
and the message will be lost.
INTERNALDATE sorting was introduced to
deal with email providers such as Gmail
that keep INTERNALDATE but not the UID
order when moving the messages.
Since we don't move the messages anymore
after commit 04c0e7da16,
there is no need for ordering by INTERNALDATE.
Existing test relies on folder scanning.
We are going to remove the option to not show emails
(<https://github.com/chatmail/core/issues/7631>)
so the test will be removed eventually anyway.
Created new test_folders.py
Moved existing JSON-RPC tests:
- test_reactions_for_a_reordering_move
- test_delete_deltachat_folder
Ported tests:
- test_move_works_on_self_sent
- test_moved_markseen
- test_markseen_message_and_mdn
- test_mvbox_thread_and_trash (renamed to test_mvbox_and_trash)
- test_scan_folders
- test_move_works
- test_move_avoids_loop
- test_immediate_autodelete
- test_trash_multiple_messages
The change also contains fixes for direct_imap fixture
needed to use IMAP IDLE in JSON-RPC tests.
