link2xt 2daff0bebc ci: test with Python 3.15 
Also moved python version to environment variable
so status checks will be named
"JSON-RPC Python tests (ubuntu-latest, latest)" instead of
"JSON-RPC Python tests (ubuntu-latest, 3.14)" and we don't have to
update the list of required status checks each time the version changes.
We already do the same for Rust.

holger krekel 6378533b6a ci: speedup lint job and the Rust test builds 
Since #8350 (2026-09-09) deltachat-jsonrpc-bindings build-depends
on deltachat-jsonrpc, so clippy, nextest and the doctests,
which select the whole workspace, compiled core
and its whole dependency tree a second time for the host.
The lint job also checked every dependency twice, once per panic strategy,
and repeated clippy's checks in a separate all-features `cargo check`.

With a warm cache on 4 CPUs on my machine, the lint job drops
from 150 to 60 seconds and the tests build
from 100 to 75 seconds.
Peak memory falls for lint from
5.1 to 3.5 GiB and for tests
7.5 to 5.4 GiB.

holger krekel 96f051a2f0 fix: produce correct wheel metadata 
all published deltachat-rpc-server wheels so far fail "wheel tags"
and probably other tools.
Translate "dev" cargo-versioning to PEP440-versioning
to make CI dev wheel builds reproducable at least for the 11 non-mac targets.

link2xt 03725c5f32 ci: update Node version to 24 
https://docs.npmjs.com/trusted-publishers recommends node-version 24
and not updating npm separately, this change copies the recommended configuration.

Also update node version to 24 in non-release workflows, version 18 is EOL.
There is a version 26 already, but 24 is LTS.

Also disable cache for release pipelines.

missytakeandj4n 2b6515e3b5 ci: rrsync prepends the restricted upload path, we need to leave it out (#8405) 
This is necessary because
https://github.com/deltachat/sysadmin/issues/270 switches our
server-side authentication to rrsync, and that uploads to a restricted
path already; keeping it like this will result in a destination path
like `/var/www/html/var/www/html`.

link2xt 92d522473f refactor: remove support for building "source" packages for deltachat-rpc-server 
This hack was needed to "build" Android packages
by repackaging Linux packages on-the-fly,
but PyPI has since added Android support
and we are using it directly.
